yoga for any body

Whilst from an alignment background, I’m less interested in the perfection and form the yoga poses take, and more in the liberation and healing that can be found in practical yoga asana therapeutics and cyclical awareness.

I like to start every class/series by asking what’s needed by those attending and create an intention to serve any body that shows up. There is no judgement or discrimination, show up as you are.

I am trained in Hatha yoga, restorative yoga, prenatal and postnatal yoga, well woman yoga therapy, yoga for ME/CFS, baby & me, toddler & me, kids yoga. I specialize in areas that have been significant in my life.

Classes create a safe, sacred space for you to re-member all parts of yourself. I believe your body longs for your conscious connection, presence and embodiment.   As awareness and body integrate, a re-discovery happens and so opens the capacity to heal… not only ourselves, but also the past and habitual patterns we’ve held for lifetimes!

I create programs to offer guidance, support and nourishment along your ever evolving path.

my current offerings

  • hatha yoga - all levels

    Saturdays, 9 - 10am. Book in advance via the City of Pacific Grove Recreation Department.

    A mixed ability in person hatha yoga class for all levels. Class includes breath awareness, fluid movement, alignment, technique, mindfulness, & relaxation. Beginners welcome!

    Yoga mats, straps & blocks provided. Please bring a blanket for the end relaxation.

  • prenatal / pregnancy yoga

    Time to mother the mother! These classes support pregnancy from 14 weeks to full term and beyond. Pregnancy yoga can help to reduce stress & anxiety, increase strength & mobility, as well as meeting other parents to be!

    Please bring: a blanket and 1-2 pillows/cushions.

    A mama of two, I have been teaching pre/post natal yoga for 12 years. I trained and continue to study and support Dr Francoise Freedman of Birthlight and Uma Dinsmore Tuli, both world renowned in their field. I am also a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, and understand Diastisis Recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, and the many other symptoms mums to be and new mums can experience.

  • yoga & mindfulness for stress & deep rest

    Designed to slow the heart rate and allow body, mind and nervous system to deeply rest and reset. This class takes place on the floor with props to support and nourish.

    Please bring: yoga mat, warm clothes, blanekt/s, pillows…anything you need to create a cozy ‘nest’ for yourself!

    I have been teaching for 15 years and hold a special interest in the effects of chronic stress on the nervous system due to my own experience. I I am a certified restorative yoga teacher and have trained with Anna Ashby, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Judith Hanson Lassater, Donna Farhi.

  • well woman yoga

    Currently offered as a 1:1 session:

    Well Woman Yoga is a uniquely, therapeutic approach to yoga designed to empower a female body and it’s many cycles. Supporting womb health and vitality, this class is suitable for all stages of life, including & not limited to menarche, menstruation, pregnancy, postpartum, peri menopause, menopause and beyond.

    As a well seasoned yoga teacher for the last 15 years, I hold special expertise in Well Woman Yoga Therapy and am certified with world renowned Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Francoise Freedman of Birthlight.
